Nene Leakes And Wendy Williams Butt Heads At Women's Expo In Atlanta
According to Centric, Nene Leakes and Wendy Williams had a less-than-pleasant experience at Sunday's Women's Expo in Atlanta where both ladies were invited as keynote speakers. According to the event's website, Leakes was scheduled to speak at 1 p.m., while Williams was set for 1:30 p.m.
There are few details on what exactly went down between the women, but Rolling Outreports there was "a bit of tongue lashing, profanity and name calling." While Leakes hasn't confirmed or denied any such story, she did send out a tweet letting fans know there was an issue.
"So SHOCKED to hear everything that was happening backstage while I was onstage speaking @ the women's expo! WOW the professionalism," she wrote.
Leakes later stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" and briefly discussed the matter with host Andy Cohen.
"I didn't even see Wendy nor her husband today, but a lot happened backstage with her husband I heard ... just because I was on stage he went completely crazy I heard," she said.
The ladies have been at odds ever since Leakes says Williams broke her truce when she spoke about her on the "Wendy Williams Show." Leakes also accused her of being overly negative toward black women. Williams has yet to comment on Sunday's alleged incident.
