According to AlwaysAList, TV Land wants more of its hit sitcom “The Soul Man.” The show, which stars Cedric The Entertainer, Niecy Nash and Wesley Jonathan, has received a 12-episode order for a fourth season; up from the eight-episode order it had for season three. “The Soul Man” has a large African-American viewing audience, something that prompted TV Land to renew the series. In addition to airing on TV Land, “The Soul Man” gets a second airing on BET. Despite its ratings being down for season three, “The Soul Man” still averaged a 3.19 rating among African-American Women 25-54 and a 2.65 rating with African-American Adults 25-54 in its first three seasons, a triple-digit gain over the channel’s prime average according to Deadline. The “Hot In Cleveland” spin-off will return on TV Land in 2015.
