Us Weekly Claps Back at Ciara, Releases Audio To Interview

According to Centric, Us Weekly isn’t backing down after Ciara lashed out against it on Twitter over a recent headline.
As previously reported by Centric, the singer accused the magazine of manipulating an interview she did just one day before it also reported she had split with her fiance, rapper Future.
Originally the singer hopped on social media to say that she did not do the interview--headlined “Ciara Talks About Motherhood and Life After Future Split: I'm Focused, ‘Very Happy”--but eventually peddled back, admitting that she did.
The 28-year-old new mom did, however, lambast the media outlet for manipulating her words and using the interview for “sensation.”
The publication has since responded to Ciara’s claims, releasing a statement along with audio proof that she indeed spoke with their reporter.
Us Weekly writes:
In spite of [her] claims, Ciara indeed gave an extended interview with an Us reporter at an L.A. event on Tuesday, Aug. 12. During the chat, she spoke at length about her fashion, her fitness routines, her music, her upcoming MTV House of Style episode and being a brand-new mom to baby boy Future Zahir Wilburn, among other topics.
As it happens, Ciara is also newly single. As Us exclusively revealed Wednesday morning, she recently broke up with her infant son's father, rapper Future, after learning of his infidelity. (The pair had been engaged since October of last year.)
In the interview Ciara described being in a “clairvoyant place” since giving birth to her three-month-old son Future Zahir Willburn, who she said is the best thing to ever happen to her. She also said she was feeling more “centered” and was excited to express herself through new music.
Despite audio proof, it remains unclear whether or not Ciara made any mention of Future or their alleged split during the interview. The magazine's "exclusive" report that the singer called off their engagement over cheating allegations was reportedly confirmed by an "inside" source.
Do you think the publication manipulating Ciara’s words, as she claims?
