#Ferguson Rallies Following Michael Brown Shooting [PHOTOS]

According to Essence, after 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer on Saturday, August 9th, the town of Ferguson, Missouri has erupted with daily protests. Although Brown's grieving family has spoken out against violence at rallies, community members are enraged by the police's lackluster reaction to the tragedy.  Below are a look back at events in photos from the ground.
Sidebar: I am so saddened by this. I feel like there is a war going on and the target is young black men.  This has to stop. How do you shoot unarmed teenagers.  This showcases just how alive and well racism is. I do not condone violence and I am sad that people have rioted and looted but the anger and helpless feelings are real.
