Ice Cube's Son O'Shea Jackson Jr. To Play Him In N.W.A. Biopic

According to The Wrap, filming is set to begin soon on "Straight Outta Compton", a biopic that chronicles the rise of controversial gangsta rap group NWA.  Directed by famed Friday director F. Gary Gray, the film will be produced by original NWA members Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy E's widow Tomica Woods-Wright.  Ice Cube lobbied executives at Universal executives to hire son O'Shea Jackson Jr. despite his lack of actingexperience but young Cube still had to go through the audition progress. He must have nailed it because he got the role. Will Packer and Cube Vision's Matt Alvarez are also producing the project.
Sidebar: This is going to be good. I love that his son is going to play him. It's going to make it even more believable. And even if he can't act now, he will by the time he is up on that big screen. Dad will make sure of that.
