According to BET Centric, K. Michelle and Mona Scott-Young have filed a countersuit against Mickey "Memphitz" Wright in response to a 2012 defamation lawsuit. Both the "Can't Raise A Man" singer and the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta executive
producer filed a counter suit last month accusing Wright of filing a
frivolous lawsuit and for lying under oath about abusing his
ex-girlfriend K. Michelle.
Wright filed a defamation of character lawsuit against Michelle (born Kimberly Pate), Scott-Young, and VH1 for
the "irreparable damage" done to his reputation as a result of Michelle
claiming she was abused by Wright on several episodes of the
hit reality show. At the time of his filing, he requested to be compensated $1 per viewer
per episode of the series (The show was averaging roughly five million
viewers per week). However, a year later he mysteriously dropped his
case.Wright who once served as the Senior Vice President of A&R at the now defunct JIVE Records, is married to Lil Wayne's ex-wife Antonia "Toya" Wright. K. Michelle and Scott-Young want Wright to pay their legal bills.
