Isaiah Washington Set to return to Grey's Anatomy

According to THR, Isaiah Washington is set to return to Grey's Anatomy as the guest star for a May episode. The cameo comes seven years after Washington, who played the original Dr. Preston Burke, was fired from the ABC medical drama amid on-set clashes and public anti-gay remarks. Washington's character will return to help say goodbye to one of Grey's main characters, and his former love interest on the show, Cristina Yang, played by Sandra Oh. Grey's mastermind Shonda Rhimes said that his return is important to round out Christina's journey. "He gives her story that full circle moment we need to properly say goodbye to our beloved Cristina Yang." said Rhimes.

Sidebar: Yes. Perfect ending to the story. I still don't know why she is leaving? She should stop being Christina whenever the show gets cancelled if ever.  Do movies during hiatus.  And I know Isaiah has moved on, but I still think he should have never handled his situation like that. I'm sick for him.  Grey's Anatomy has been on for 10 years! He's missed 7 seasons of being Dr. Burke! That's just crazy. Maybe this will be a way back into his scrubs full time? Hmm, that ship has probably sailed, huh.
