Michael K. Williams shared a personal moment from a scene he did in '12 Years a Slave' that actually happened when the cameras stopped rolling. His description was so graphic, it brought Arsenio Hall to tears. Watch the clip below. Almost had me tearing up too.
Sidebar: See this is why I hate when people make any jokes about slavery. It literally makes my skin crawl. It is and will never be a light subject just like the holocaust. No one jokes about that. If they do there are consequences. I love that Arsenio shows his vulnerability on his show and is not afraid of tearing up over the thought of what we went through as a people. I love that he can connect with the actor's story and relate on that level. I love Arsenio. His show still needs some work, but the man himself is first class from where I sit. If you are ever trying to make me laugh, please keep the slave jokes to yourself. My people went through too much for anybody to make light of it. #Realtalk
