Mo'Nique Heads To Daytime TV!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Parkers leading lady is developing a syndicated talk show with the network that could hit television as soon as September 2014.
The project is being assisted by Vicki Dummer, executive vp current series and specials for the ABC Entertainment Group.  The Mo'Nique Show ran on BET from October 2009 to August 2011 featuring guests such as Meagan Good, Martin Lawrence, Brandy, Smokey Robinson, Vanessa Williams, Soul Train Awards host Anthony Anderson and many more. She was backed by fellow comedian Rodney Perry.  The show won the award for Outstanding Talk Series at the 41st annual NAACP Image Awards. If the deal goes through, Mo'Nique will face competition from season newbies Meredith Vieira and Marie Osmond, as well as Steve Harvey and presumably Queen Latifah. Should The Real or Kris Jenner's show Kris get picked up, she'll go head-to-head with them as well.

Sidebar: Well, we know she won't go against Kris Jenner cuz that was cancelled. Yes! I look forward to seeing even more people of color get a shot at this business called show. I hope she does spectacular. I know she was yelling a lot on her BET talk show but so what, we all have a learning curve. Go Monique! I hope ABC treats you better than BET did.
